👀 Take-a-look

Due to the overwhelming amount of material to learn, lack of knowledge regarding how to approach it, and lack of motivation, the majority of self-taught second language users—80%—quit quickly. In order to support learning more effectively, web app platforms were created. However, these platforms still have issues, and the user experience is poor. To study UX Audit and Heuristic Evaluation, we use 4English as our object.

4English is a super app to learn English that includes the following features: ENGLISH DICTIONARY.

• You can look up instantly. LEARN ENGLISH THROUGH ENGLISH NEWS.

• You can learn English and update news at the same time.

• You can track your progress and up to date with your effort.

🧭 Project Timeline

Keeping in mind the strict project deadline, I drafted a timeline that would serve the purpose and get the project done while keeping up with the 10 Usability Heuristics in Check.

• Week 1: Familiarize, Identify heuristics Familiarized with the website and the heuristics to be used for the evaluation.
• Week 2: Evaluation, Document issues & Prioritize issues. Check main flow and design each screen Conducted the preliminary evaluation, documented issues, and prioritized them based on severity rating.
• Week 3: Rechecked prioritize issues & Drafted report. Rebuilt main flow and designed new version based on our research Continued the evaluation, rechecked and refined the prioritized issues, and started drafting the report Rebuilt flow and reviewed more and more, started drafting the design.
• Week 4: Complete evaluation, Finalize report, Review design & edit Completed the evaluation, finalized the report, and reviewed and edited it for accuracy and clarity Completed design then reviewed more and more, finalize the design showcase.
